South Austin Families, we are here to help your young ones to kick start a musical life in 2025! This is our inaugural session with Red Leaf, an excellent place for lots of instrument learning, and we're happy to bring our ukulele program here.
Groundwork Music Project's ukulele lessons are a lot of fun, and they are a great way to learn more than just instrument play. This is a path to learning to play, read music, sing and train the musical ear. We often hear back from families with former students that the programs we provided were a great help when they continued their musical endeavors in middle school and beyond.
Our JHUI-certified teachers (James Hill Ukulele Initiative) have a depth of teaching knowledge and musical knowledge that helps children to develop both skill and a love of musical activity.
In addition to lessons. Students have opportunities throughout the semester to join our teachers on various stages for events, where professional musicians and students play together. Look for information on a flagship event in late April, as well as monthly play-along events at Cherrywood Coffee House (second Sundays), and Hive in South Austin (fourth Saturdays).
