Groundwork Music Project Ukulele Ensemble Classes for six and seven year olds
Lee Elementary

Groundwork Music loves providing ensemble ukulele lessons at Lee Elementary! This is our fifth year at the campus. These lessons are a lot of fun, and they’re a great way to get started on instrument learning.

Lessons include ukulele play, singing, note reading, and lots of fun songs that kids love to play. Our programs for students aged six and seven are tailored to the needs of early learners, with lots of simple and playful activities to prime young for more advanced learning down the line. We do accept some five year olds into the program, depending on individual circumstances.

Our JHUI-certified teachers (James Hill Ukulele Initiative) have a depth of teaching knowledge and musical knowledge that helps children to develop both skill and a love of musical activity.

In addition to lessons. Students have opportunities throughout the semester to join our teachers on various stages for events where professional musicians and students play together. Look for information on our big December concert at Central Market, as well as monthly play-along events at Cherrywood Coffee House (Sundays).
