Groundwork Music Project Ukulele Ensemble Classes in Wimberley at Cypress Lodge for kids 8 and older

Groundwork Music is continuing ensemble ukulele lessons at Cypress Falls this Spring (2024)! New students and returning students are welcome. Ukulele is a great way to kick off a lifetime of musical learning and musical skill. Our program includes playing, singing, note reading, ear training and more.

Our JHUI-certified teachers (James Hill Ukulele Initiative) have a depth of teaching knowledge and musical knowledge that helps children to develop both skill and a love of musical activity. Neal Kassanoff will be teaching this particular program. In addition to his study of music education, Neal is the founder of Groundwork Music Project, and he has written much of the material used in the curriculum, and he has a lot of fun teaching it.

In addition to lessons. Students have opportunities throughout the semester to join our teachers on various stages for events where professional musicians and students play together. Look for information on our big Spring Concert, as well as monthly play-along events at Cherrywood Coffee House (second Sundays in Central Austin), and the Hive (fourth Saturdays in South Austin).
